Uniform, in its most authentic root, means unique form. Not a boundary that separates the person from the role, but a shared language through which a professional identity becomes recognizable — to itself, before it is recognized by anyone else. Whoever wears it does not disappear behind it: they inhabit it, interpret it, make it their own through everyday gesture. This is how a uniform stops being a constraint and becomes a point of contact between who one is and what one represents.

It is from this idea that Maurel's work is born: for fifty years, three generations of the same family have designed made-to-order uniforms for luxury hospitality, always starting from the person who wears them and the context in which they come to life — a hotel, a dining room, the deck of a yacht. Not an aesthetic applied from the outside, but a form meant to be inhabited.
